This was a very challenging project! I sculpted Berwoud based on artwork made by D&D players for their home game, but I took some creative liberty on details and the pose, then I sliced him into pieces, trying to find the most sensible parts to separate and I tried my best to hide the seams as best I could. I'm really grateful for the guidance & feedback provided by Maarten Verhoeven.
Because this is my first resin print, I wanted to make sure that everything fit, so I tested out the sockets and keys on a smaller scale at first.
I felt pretty confident with the test and decided to print Berwoud in two batches: Upperbody & Lowerbody, while the platform was printed using a filament 3D printer. It was quite literally blood, sweat and tears, but I am really proud of the final result; especially with the beautiful painting and environment detail job done by Daan Janmaat.
